DPI Mid Atlantic is the premier full-service specialty food distributor in the Baltimore, Washington DC, Richmond/Norfolk and southern Pennsylvania markets. We are the only facility combining full-line perishables and dry specialty products under one roof. We are also unique in our ability to deliver multiple temperature items on one truck to better serve our customers.

DPI Mid Atlantic is the successor company of the 2001 merger of DPI Halperin, a specialty perishable distributor started in 1963, and DPI-C&G, a dry specialty grocery distributor which began operations in 1973.

DPI had acquired Halperin Distributing in 1989 and C&G Distributors in 1998. Both companies were started by industry veterans who built their businesses stressing customer service. DPI added financial security as well as industry knowledge to these already successful operations.

Our delivery area encompasses Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and North Carolina, with our own fleet of 50 all-temperature trucks, and from Maine to Florida with common carrier and Cross Dock.

Now operating in a new state-of-the art warehouse and office facility DPI Mid Atlantic's target market is chain grocery stores, as well as independent grocers, deli's, wine & cheese shops, white tablecloth restaurants, hotels, gift basket packers, military commissaries and warehouse club stores. The 275,000 square foot warehouse offers full service distribution and stocks over 15,000 items including a broad line of Specialty Foods, Natural and Organic, Ethnic, Dairy, Deli, Bakery, Specialties in Meat, Seafood and Produce, General Merchandise and Supply items.

Sales and Marketing: DPI Mid Atlantic is fortunate to have a sales and marketing team with extensive experience in the merchandising of specialty refrigerated, specialty frozen, specialty grocery, meat, bakery and general merchandise. We provide customers with programs such as planogramming and resets, market analysis demographics, advertising programs, special event planning, in-store product demonstrations, display merchandising, and product pack out programs. All programs are tailored to individually suit the needs of each customer and event. Customers and vendors are both offered the opportunity to interact directly through the annual trade show hosted by DPI Mid Atlantic. The tradeshow features new items available from hundreds of manufacturers, as well as the traditional core items recognized in the specialty food industry. Attractive promotion and display allowances are available at the show as well. Our key managers attend all major trade shows such as the International Deli Dairy Bakery Show, the NASFT Fancy Food Shows, the International House Wares Show, and Kosher Fest. Seeking new and unique products and negotiating with vendors, we obtain optimal pricing, promotions and advertising support for our customer base. Our sales associates are qualified, experienced people with a sense of urgency and a dedication to customer service. A complete menu of options is available for delivery and sales service to fit the needs of any customer. By differentiating ourselves from our competition with impeccable service, we have been able to continually contribute to our customers growth.

Warehousing: Our new state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution facility enables orders to be accurately picked and delivered efficiently through our computerized routing system. Our fleet of all-temperature trucks enables delivery of frozen, dry and refrigerated goods on one stop. Customers can enjoy the benefit of reduced receiving costs as specialty products destined for all departments of the store are delivered together.

Distribution: Every delivery is routed through the latest Roadshow equipment. Our trucks can handle all temperature deliveries and are equipped with center partitions, enabling us to deliver frozen, refrigerated and dry goods simultaneously.

Technology: DPI Mid Atlantic is the "specialty" leader in the region as a result of the latest technology used throughout the division. We have available the finest, state-of-the-art equipment and systems that equip us with the tools to provide and evaluate our business for efficiency and performance. Customers continue to benefit from our improving performance level as we are constantly upgrading our equipment and the use of technology such as radio frequency, computerized delivery (Roadshow), and sales force automation (lap tops and pocket PC's). Telemarketing is soon to be available for our customers who wish to use this added benefit of order processing. Customer service reps will guide customers through the ordering process while informing customers of promotions, new items, prior ordering habits and inventory quantities.
