DPI West is the largest full-service perishable bakery distributor in the West United States and carries a variety of products manufactured by over 140 vendors. The product mix consists of frozen dough, par-baked, fully baked products, ingredients, and supplies. This gives us the flexibility to tailor specific programs to meet the needs of each customer.

Our Hispanic program is currently one of our most successful and includes a comprehensive line of frozen dough items designed to meet the needs of our growing Hispanic market. The recent addition of a variety of thaw and sell products has helped complete this category.

Our thaw and sell table set is a turnkey program designed to give the independent retailer a complete bakery program without the cost of installing equipment and training employees. Our retailers can choose from 150 products in order to customize their table for their own particular customer base.

Many options exist for ordering bakery products from DPI West. Many customers choose the team of telemarketers whose experience and knowledge of bakery products makes ordering a breeze. Other customers choose to be called on by our local sales representative who not only help with the order but can show them the latest in new bakery items to hit the market. Still other customers utilize electronic order entry, taking advantage of the new technologies which aid in the order process.

Our fleet of approximately 80 tractors and 110 trailers has been geared to meet the cold chain needs of many different customers. With all trailers having split boxes or bulk heads, DPI West has the capacity to carry low temp, medium temp, and ambient temp all on the same trailer. This capacity combined with a high frequency of coverage from San Francisco to Tucson and from Las Vegas to the coast allows us to meet the demands of customers large and small.

DPI West occupies a 255,000 square foot warehouse located in Ontario, California. With the opening of our new 30,000 square foot freezer in 2000, DPI West expanded its freezer capacity to 69,000 square feet of high cubed area. With the growing variety of quality thaw and serve products, we have the capacity to meet all of our customer's needs well into the future.
