Our state of the art frozen warehouse facility employs a computerized tracking system which enables us to deliver reliable and efficient service, as well as allowing us to pass along significant cost reductions to our customers.

With DPI West's proven track record in other perishable areas of distribution, we have attracted many large national frozen manufactures such as: Nestles, Stouffers, Foster Farms, C&W Vegetables and Minute Maid.

Since the retail sales of frozen foods are up over one billion dollars in the United States, it is extremely important that DPI focus on carefully selecting only the top selling items for our customers. We do this by monitoring movement reports, sourcing new items, and constantly revising schematics. We continually provide our customers with the newest, most successful value added items at a fair cost.

As the newest product category within DPI West, frozen foods are appealing to our broadest customer base. From America's largest retailer to the smallest independents, frozen food has become our largest growth category.

Frozen food requires the unique capacity to maintain very low temperatures throughout the distribution process. Starting with our modern 30,000 square foot freezer expansion which opened at the end of 2000, and continuing with the recent renovation of 19,000 square feet of original capacity, we offer the most modern frozen facility available in the business today. This low temperature freezer was designed to handle ice cream, novelties and frozen meats. And with 79,000 total square feet of high cube frozen space, we offer the largest facility of any specialty food distributor in the West states.

All of the DPI West's one hundred plus trailers are designed to handle frozen foods. And with next day service ranging from Nevada to the ocean and from Arizona to the Bay area, we can offer the largest geographical coverage of any distributor in our region. With the right facility, the right fleet, and the greatest frequency of delivery, it is likely that frozen will continue to be the fastest growing category within DPI West for some time to come.
